DAHA Gold Accreditation

We are proud to have achieved DAHA Gold Accreditation, recognising our continued commitment to improving how we respond to domestic abuse and support survivors.

Gold is the highest level of recognition in the DAHA accreditation framework for housing providers. It reflects the ongoing work taking place across our organisation to make sure domestic abuse is recognised and responded to safely.

DAHA stands for Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance. It was established in 2014 by Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse (STADA), Gentoo and Peabody

DAHA works with housing providers to improve their response to domestic abuse through training, support and an accreditation framework.

DAHA accreditation is the UK benchmark for how housing providers should respond to domestic abuse.

Their accreditation framework covers eight key areas, including our policies, procedures, training and support available to residents.

Achieving accreditation shows that we have put processes and practices in place to help us respond to domestic abuse safely, consistently and effectively.

Gold Accreditation is the highest level of achievement within DAHA’s framework.

It recognises our organisation’s commitment to improving our response to domestic abuse and ensuring it remains an important part of the work we do.

Being a DAHA member means we are continuously learning and improving on how we can make a difference to our residents and our communities.

This November, our domestic abuse champions are joining Restore for their Reclaim the Night march on Wednesday 25 November in Bury St Edmunds.

Reclaim the Night is an opportunity for communities to come together and call for an end to violence and harassment against women and girls, with the aim of making our streets safer for them.

For us, taking part is another way of showing that our commitment to tackling domestic abuse goes beyond our services and policies.
