We wanted to share an important update about House Exchange (the current platform we use to help with mutual exchanges).

House Exchange will permanently close on 31 July 2026 and will no longer be available after this date. If you’re currently using House Exchange, or were planning to register, please get in touch with us. We’ll be happy to talk you through the mutual exchange and transfer options available to you. You can email myarea@havebury.com or call 0300 3300 900 and enter extension 7333 when prompted.

The good news is that we’re in the process of signing up with a new mutual exchange provider. Once everything is in place, the new service will give you a free and simple way to search for mutual exchange opportunities across a wide network of social housing providers and we will be able to share more information about this provider soon.

There may be a short gap between House Exchange closing and our new service becoming available. During this time, our Neighbourhood and Estates team will continue to support anyone who is thinking about moving home. They can offer advice and help you explore the housing options that may be right for your circumstances.

We’ll let you know as soon as the new mutual exchange service is available and you can start registering. In the meantime, if you have any questions or would like to discuss your housing options, please get in touch. We’re here to help. This change will not affect any mutual exchange applications that have already been approved or are currently in progress, and it will not affect your tenancy.
