Tree-maintenance services. Trees. Tree-maintenance services. Tree pruning. Trees. The tree maintenance service is an important contributor to the Council’s aim to ensure well-maintained and attractive parks, open spaces and street scene. A term contractor is required to carry out the routine tree maintenance which includes an out of hour’s response, on behalf of the Council. In addition, the tender will also be used to put in place an approved list of suppliers for further related work, for use by the Council on an ad-hoc basis. This tender therefore has been split into 2 Lots, the details of which are as follows: Lot 1; The Term Contractor for routine Highways and Parks tree maintenance The winning Contractor will be responsible for the maintenance of approximately 28,000 trees. Service Lot 2; Council’s approved list for ad hoc tree maintenance and specialist tree work.
The value listed in relation to Lot 2 is not correct as each provider on the Approved list must bid for each indivivual piece of work. For this reason providers were advised that Acceptance onto this Approved List is no guarantee of work for any provider.
