Braintree District Council (BDC) is commissioning consultants to undertake an Employment Land Needs Assessment Study which will form part of the evidence base for the emerging Local Plan. It is anticipated that this study will define the functional economic market area within which the District operates and inform policies and land allocations in the new Local Plan in relation to economic development. This will include a review of the policy context, existing evidence and the quality and quantity of current employment land; assessment and implications of future demand and advice on criteria based policies to promote appropriate levels of employment development during the plan period.
