4. Description: Research and development services and related consultancy services. Braintree District Council (BDC) is commissioning consultants to undertake an update of the Landscape Character Assessment and Landscape Capacity/Sensitivity Analysis which will form part of the evidence base for the emerging Local Plan. It is anticipated that this update will help determine the most appropriate directions for future residential and employment growth in the District and will support policy in the emerging Local Plan relating to landscape character areas, biodiversity and the environment. The consultants will be required to a) produce an evaluation of the Landscape Capacity Analysis studies b) produce additional Landscape Capacity Analysis study for the settlement of Sible Hedingham c) update the Landscape Character Assessment d) produce a simple user guide e) present findings of the updated studies.
