Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is planning to procure the Leisure Management Contract and the new contract should be in place by 1st July 2015.The public financial situation has changed considerably over the past couple of years. The Government has been making significant reductions in all public spending, especially to local Council funding. The successful leisure operator will support the Council in delivering our corporate priorities. Leisure Management Service OverviewThe Leisure Management Service is delivered within the Leisure and Sport Management Section that sits in the Culture Division of the Department for Place. Services may or may not be broken into to lots.Contractors are requested to submit a supplier consultation questionnaire before 4pm on 20th of October 2014 – Suppliers may then be requested to attend a supplier engagement interview following their submission. These interviews are provisionally scheduled for the weeks commencing the 10th and 17th of November 2014.The publication of the Prior Information Notice in no way commits the Council to award any contract pursuant to any tender process.
