Short Description: We anticipate appointing just one Main Contractor to carry out all our requirements from design of kitchen layouts, any associated building works, supply and installation of replacement kitchens and finishing trades and the occasional bathroom replacement. The successful contractor will be carrying out both planned and ad hoc works including working in void properties and Sheltered Housing accommodation. It will be a requirement of this contract that time is of the essence.The Council has a housing stock of approximately 3,000 properties. In the last year we completed 100 refurbishments. In 2014/15 we have a budget in the region of £500,000 for further works. The contract will run until 31/03/2016, with options to extend by up to 2 years subject to performance. The Contract Conditions and Schedule of Rates to be used for this contract is the National Housing Federation M3NHF Schedule . We aim to appoint a contractor that can demonstrate the right skill set and experience in working within multiple dwellings, the majority of which will be occupied. It will be important to us that our residents are treated with respect whilst the contractor is working in their homes.
