The Gilberd prides itself in providing an excellent environment for students that is conducive to enhanced teaching and learning.

      II.2.4) Description of the procurement: The cleaning contract will commence on 27.11.2017 for an initial period of 3 years, with the opportunity to extend for a further period of a maximum of 2 years. The contract shall commence on the site of the Gilberd School in Colchester.
The school site must at all times meet health, safety and environmental standards appropriate to the site and its use and the successful Supplier must comply with the Client's health, safety and environmental policies and procedures. The services must be provided so as not to interrupt the routine of the school site.
The scope of the contract covers all cleaning provision within school buildings.
The Gilberd School is partnered with Manningtree High school whose cleaning service is currently delivered in-house. There will possibly be an option within the contract for cleaning services at Manningtree School to be delivered by the successful supplier however the supplier will be expected to quote separately for this additional optional work package
