         Health and social work services. Health services. Miscellaneous health services. Community health services. Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is considering options for providing refuge, floating support and an adaptations service. We are inviting stakeholders to a market engagement event to shape and inform the service model and specification for the provision of domestic abuse refuge services through:

a) Emergency access refuge provision for women and children (40 units)
b) Move on support for people at risk of domestic abuse after leaving refuge
c) Floating support for adults at risk of domestic abuse living in the community
d) Increasing safety through the installation of adaptations to the homes of people at risk of domestic abuse and lliving in the community

The market engagement event will take place on:

Time 9:30am to 1:00pm
Venue The Tickfield Centre,
Tickfield Industrial Estate, Tickfield Avenue,
Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS2 6LL


Stakeholders who attend the market engagement event will have the opportunity to:

•   gain an insight into the size and scale of domestic abuse in Southend-on-Sea
•   gain an insight into the strategic priorities of the commissioners: the Supporting People team, and key strategic partners from the Drug & Alcohol Commissioning Team, and the Police & Crime Commissioners Office
•   inform the service model and specification for the service
•   understand how the tender process will be conducted
•   network with colleagues

This event is appropriate for potential bidders and any other agency supporting people in Southend who are at risk of domestic abuse, including those organisations that refer into and / or work with, the services outlined above.
Space will be limited with allocation to 2 people per organisation (max). Organisations that are interested in attending the market engagement event are therefore asked to register their interest and supply name(s) and job titles of the people who would like to attend by Tuesday 22nd July 2014 to:
