4. Description: Insulation work. Uttlesford District Council is committed to improving energy efficiency within its housing stock for the purposes of

•   reducing carbon emissions
•   reducing heating costs and creating a warm home for tenants, and
•   addressing fuel poverty along with the associated health implications.

As part of this commitment, the Council is currently preparing to tender a contract for works on 10No timber framed, timber clad chalet properties.

It is proposed that the works will comprise external wall insulation to improve the energy efficiency of the property and to benefit tenants. As part of our programme to improve our housing stock we will also be seeking to improve the external appearance and reduce maintenance for example by replacing soffit and fascia boards and rainwater goods within this project whilst scaffolding is already erected.

The works shall be dependent on the Contractor securing a high level of ECO funding for the project, details of which shall be called for within the tender documents.

Suitably registered, qualified and experienced Contractors interested in working with us to deliver this project are invited to submit their expression of interest.
